Off to KL

Again I woke up very early today at 4am (heehheee don't ask at what time I slept last night..very early also :). After I did the laundry and tidy the house, I started to pack the clothes and things into our travel bag. Yup, this is going to be my next visit to KL.. again! within 2 weeks! This time around all my heroes are coming with us. We actually wanted to finish off our entitlement holiday for the year 2006. We still left with 5 days but hubby can only leave his clinic for 2 days..lol, then we decided 2 days is enough. After all I have a few things to settle in KL like looking for a house to rent, finding a few books (arghhh..I am going to be a student again?) and also visiting my newly born niece. Oh ya, I planned to meet up with LJ and Emila too. Hopefully this time around the meeting will not be cancelled again. Thus, with all that in the itinerary, I guess my time is very limited especially for shopping :( Never mind may be next time :)

OK with all the laptop robbery nowadays I planned to leave my Blazing Red and with that I have no chance to blog..so to all my blogging friends..expect a silent from me for the next 3 days..heheheee Take Care and Labour Day wish to everyone :)

BUSY :(

I am going to be very busy the next few weeks until I take my remaining leave may be end of May. The reason..ISO audit is coming (12-14 May), as one of the top management I have to make sure everything is ready before that. Last night we had our dinner outside and after came back from dinner everybody was so tired even me and hubby slept early. So this morning I wake up very early at 4.30 am, doing laundry,mopping the floor and even cooking! (Wah,tu datang mood rajin la tu:) so now at 5.58am I'm here in front of my Blazing Red to bloghop and doing this post.To all my dear friends and readers, I will try to visit you whenever I have the time...hope everything is OK over there.Ops! about my master's, I made up mind and with hubby and my other family members strong support....I WILL GO FOR IT!!! Yes, this is final and I hope that I make a right decision.Thanks for all your comments and encouragement..I appreciate it. Anyway I'm now thinking about this blog...how it is going to be if I go for my master's?Hubby is a bit reluctant to continue maintaining it..I'm sure I cannot blog about my kids anymore coz they are going to be 400km from me and I only have the chance to see them every weekend perhaps...Oh,should I just terminate this blog? but I love it and it is more or less like my diary..and writing about my kids and family makes me feel happy..I will try to persuade hubby to continue this at least I will know what is going on at home...gonna stop writing about this my eyes full of tears already :) OK guys have a nice day!

Master's in Community Medicine??50/50

How am I suppose to write about this? Well, to be frank I don't know how to start actually. OK let me start with this

Yes I secured a place to further my study..I am happy of course, but at the same time I feel very scared and sad...scared because I don't know whether I'm able to study while my hubby and kids are 400km away from me (they are my other half!! How am I going to study without my other half?)..and sad because I have to leave them..Oh I don't think I can do this :( . Hubby reassure me that he will take a good care of my kids, but as a wife and a mother how could I do this? It is going to be a 4 year course and I'll be in HUKM for at least the first 2 years! Do you think I should go for this?I'm now 50/50 but if I think about it further, this is only for the next 4 years and this is also for a better future for my family. What do you think??

Cheddar cheesecake..

I don't know what got into me today..after came back from work suddenly I feel like baking a cake..my kids are not a big fan of cakes or cookies but their mum likes baking..lolzz. So what to do? I usually give the cakes to my staff...hehehehee

Today I found a recipe online, baking a cake using slices of cheddar cheese..since there are few slices left in the fridge, I decided to use them for baking a cheese cake. It turn out very well even though this is my first attempt using cheddar slices..

10 Reasons why I blog...

Again I'm doing a tag and this time I was tagged by Noushy..I guess I've wrote something about this in January..but Ilove to write it again because it also reminds me of...The reasons why I blog:

1. I'm a very busy mum with 3 boys and have to juggle between carrier and family (and I have no maid at home ok?) so most of the time I tend to forget about the small things that happens in my life,for instance..Aiman's first day at kindy, the day Danial started to walk, my family fine dining and etc..but since I started my blog, I become more appreciate things that happened and I have a place where I can write about them and be remembered by my family either now or in the future

2. I started to learn about photo editing, web hosting, html code and etc since I started to blog..so I guess this is the best way for me to learn them

3.Whatever I write in my blog, my parents, siblings and friends can read about it and find out what is going on..so that is a good way to communicate..they usually will give me a call or text me after they read about something in my blog

4.I found a lot of great blogging buddies..really appreciate that and I will continue to blog to make more friends all over the world

5.With a new blazing red Sony Vaio I guess my blogging world is irresistible

6. I can make money online too :) Although it is just a small income but it is enough for me to spend on ebay..hahahhahahhaaa

7.I love to blog hop..reading about others life experiences and thoughts lifted my spirit

8.blogging makes me happy and it is place where I would hide myself from my daily clinical works when I'm feeling down

9.I got my sony cybershot and wireless stremyx when I started to blog which i don't think I'll get them if I don't start to blog..ermmm I'm thinking of what else do I have to get next??(Hubby jeling dah..hahahhhaaa)

10. Blogging has become my hobby :)

Yeay! That's all I can think for now...whatever it is I LOVE BLOGGING :)

Blazing red

Yes! This has been my companion since the past 4 months. Hubby bought it specially for me because I planned to continue my studies this year and also to make it easier for me to blog! (previously I used his lappy to blog..meaning that I only can blog at night when he come back from work)We don't have desktop at home :(..but now with my Blazing Red I can blog anytime..anywhere. Oh ya I just bought a red wireless mouse to complement my Blazing Red..

Afiq is sick..again??

Yes and this time around he is down with Measles. It was started when I was in KL last week and that was the reason I have to rush back home from KL that day. His fever didn't settle down despite doses of anti pyretics..and finally on Tuesday the rashes started to appear. Today after 3 days, his fever settled and the rashes faded away. Although he had fever and rashes all over his body, he never throws tantrum either during the day or at night..Alhamdulillah..or else mummy also will throw tantrums because of not enough sleep :)

See those tiny rashes over his face and chest? That is called maculopapular rash in medicine.

My heroes

Do you know what was Aiman's answer when I ask him on what he is going to be when he grows up..he said that he wanted to be an army!!!! That was the answer a year ago, hubby and I tried our best to convince him that it is not easy to be an army and he needs to be strong and fit. Because of that we bought this look-a-like army uniform for both Aiman and Danial during our visit to KL. They love it and asked whether they can wear it tomorrow to go to kindy.Oh, no dear...your teacher will call mum and dad to school tomorrow if you both wearing that to go to school :)

psssst: but now if you ask aiman what he wants to be..he will answer this "Nak jadi Doktor macam Bak"(want to a doctor like dad) hehehhehee good good :)) Looks like we win hehheheee

My 7th Wedding Anniversary

14th April 2001 was my wedding day..this year hubby and I decided to take a break and have a short visit to KL. Why KL? may be because we both love window shopping :). So yesterday the whole day we spent by venturing in and out of a few shopping malls...from 8.30am to 11pm!! We just love it and got a few things for my kids. Early morning yesterday after we arrived in KL we went to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM).Wonder why HUKM? Just to recall back the memories 9 years ago when we were there..studying..and initially I planned to find out the result of my interview but I was told that I should get it from Ministry of Health (training div.)..LOL. So I forget that intention.

The place where I had my medical knowledge and training..

I was here 10 years ago..the first pic on the left used to be my hostel block and the right pic was the condominium where I stayed after I got married..Prisma Perdana Condo just behind HUKM. After spent about 1 hour in HUKM and had the breakfast at our usual cafe that we used to during our student years, we started our shopping trip. Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (I love the shopping heaven there but I hate the stink smell especially over at Jalan Masjid India..yarksss), Mid Valley Megamall, SOGO, One Utama, The Curve and IKEA to name a few that we had spent some times to visit. However our lunch was rather a disappointing one..we had it at Chillis Grill and Bar. The food was just so so but the service was bad! The waitress didn't even answer our question when we asked her! Luckily the manager came over at our table and of course I vented it out to him..hheehhehe. At 8.30pm I spent some times to meet my ex-schoolmate and had our dinner at Aji-Don-Alley( the Mee Rebus Johor there was nearly like those mee rebus Haji Wahid in JB..yummy!) at Plaza Damas Sri Hartamas area. At 11pm we were both exhausted and headed straight to the bed.

We stayed at Boulevard Hotel Mid Valley at its Studio Suite. A very nice room but the service at the reception was not up to the standard. Most probably because Hubby and I wore jeans and T-shirts during checked in so the receptionist was a bit reluctant to entertain to our questions and he didn't even tell us where we suppose to have our breakfast when it supposed to be at the executive lounge!LOL..(Don't judge a book by its cover OK?). Anyway we had a great time in KL and hope we will bring our kids the next time we are here. May Allah bless our relationship and till death do us part.

Oh, no one should tell me that at this moment of time, but when I was a young girl my parents can guide me to find my love and yes they never tell me who should I love or not...they only guide me..which I thank them for that.

water colours

One of the presents during Aiman birthday was a set of WATER COLOUR. He never play with it before. So last night hubby bought another set for Danial complete with the brushes. (or else they will fight over the only set..lol). Today early in the morning they asked me to teach them how to use it. They were very excited and eagerly waiting for me to prepare the water colours. ( I didn't let them to pour the water colours themselves...afraid that they will spill them over the floor).They really enjoy it and I think it is one of the best thing to keep them occupied, so I can do other household chores :)

Which hotel?

I'm going to Kuala Lumpur next Sunday (to find out about my masters programme interview result and also errr...honeymoon!!..hihii). Initially we planned to stay at this hotel because we have its holiday membership..but unfortunately we found out that we cannot use our entitlement only for one night...must be at least 2 nights. Huh they are so clever and we were so 'not particular' about the agreement that we had signed about 2 years ago. It clearly stated that. Thus, not to waste our entitlement (we can book 2 nights and stay a night there but it will waste our entitlement for the year), we planned to stay at other hotels instead of that. The problem now is that we have a lot of hotels to choose from...hehhehehe from the very 'cikai' one to the high class ones...so do you have any suggestions? A hotel where we can stay overnight comfortably, easily accessible and affordable...I'm thinking of a new The boulevard Hotel at mid valley (thinking of retail therapy now..haahahahaa... evil laugh) or Le Meridien or Hilton KL..(hmmm hubby making face already)..so don't dream about Le Meridien or Hilton OK..

Afiq fell from the bed!

Afiq is sleeping with his beloved pacifier..

That was one of the shocking incidence which was happened this early morning. Afiq fell from our bed! We were all very tired last night after came back from Daryn's birthday. Everybody went to bed right after we arrived home (My kids all fell asleep while we were still on the journey back home).

Afiq made a bit of noise about half hour before he fell down the bed. I guess he wanted his milk but I was so tired and sleepy and I didn't even call hubby to prepare his milk..After that at 5.30am we heard a loud cry from Afiq and I opened my eyes started looking for him. To my surprised he was lying on the floor!! just beside my hubby who slept there. He was lying on his stomach.OMG!..Hubby woke up and grabbed Afiq and hugged him...he cried loudly for few seconds and after given his pacifier he stopped crying. We inspected him but we only found redness area over his cheek..so I guess he fell onto his cheek.Phewww! not onto his head...Alhamdulillah. Lesson learnt today "Natrah..how tired or busy you are your kids need your attention and care..their need comes first not yours"..and I will never put Afiq to sleep on my bed. Afiq will be sleeping on his cot or I might consider buying a new sleeping mattress to put on the floor..

Presents for birthday girls

Yesterday was Daryn's Birthday (Farah's daughter)..It was celebrated at Berjaya Hotel Penang. My family and I went there too and guess what we got for her and her aunty?? (oh, actually 3rd April was Daryn's aunty, Finaz.. bday)..so we bought 2 presents...

The presents...a teddy bear and The Body Shop gift..

I personally picked the teddy bear..It was a very soft and cute and definitely hugable..I hope that Daryn will like it...To Daryn, don't play with the your bro's aeroplane girl..tak best, play with this teddy OK? :). To be frank, this is the first time I got a teddy bear for a birthday gift..my boys don't even want to hold the soft toys. They usually kick them like a ball or put it as a pillow..lol...so I was so excited when I bought this...hhehehehhe

The gift for Finaz..I got her a Passion fruit bath, passion fruit soap and a lip gloss...Psssst: Finaz, I picked this for the smell and colour, I don't know whether they suit you..hope you enjoy using them anyway..

But I hate this....traffic jam!

Actually we arrived there at the party 2 hours late! Thanks to the traffic jam over the Penang bridge!! Huh Geram...but luckily there were still a few other guest...hehhehehe takde la malu sgt sampai lambat. Anyway I would like to thank Farah for inviting me to the party..my kids love it..and they already remember Syabil and Sania! Aiman went "mak ni nak pi birthday adik yang mai rumah kita masa bday Aiman tu"..I smiled and replied "ya, yang cakap english dengan Aiman tu"...hehhehehehe and we both smile.

Rice porridge

Today is Saturday another day for me to rest (not really rest but mostly a day with my hubby and kids..which I love even though it is a tiring day ..lol) before I start to work on Sunday. Last night hubby requested for me to prepare one of his favourite breakfast dish..a 'bubur nasi' or rice porridge. I learnt this recipe from my MIL. It is basically the same as bubur nasi that you have during a buffet breakfast at a hotel (ops! sorry I don't know what is the real name of this bubur nasi)..but that one the bubur is very light with lots of water, in my version of bubur nasi the bubur has to be a bit solid and sticky :). It has to be garnished with fried anchovies, pickled radish, fried peanut, salted egg and dashed of light soy sauce but my hubby and kids don't like pickled radish and salted egg so usually I don't add that. The most important thing is the red thing on top of it..what should I call it? not really a 'sambal' a sort of garnishing too..very easy to prepare and it add some hot and spicy flavour to the plain bubur nasi. I don't have the recipe too..main agak- agak jer :)

To prepare the hot and spicy garnishing, first I fried some dried shrimp without oil until it cooked. Then put them in the food processor with fresh chillies and blend until it becomes fine mixture and finally chopped some large onion into the mixture..done. It is Aiman's and Danial's fav too..

Afiq with his new 'Tak nak tak nak'

He keeps doing this since the past few days...we are not sure whether he imitates our gestures or what...but whenever we say 'tak nak tak nak' and turn our head, he will start doing that..however, imitate gestures normally starts at 12 months...anyway surely we love it..eh, can you hear me laughing there? :)
